Our client is exploring EV charging infrastructure build out in Japan. They partnered with a Manufacture of charging stations to provide infrastructure for payment and Maintenance of Charger installations using LTE modems to control reserving, charging, and payment for services by operators of charging stations in clusters of 1 to 250 stations.
The System also provided an AI camera module to certify occupancy of the charging station and identify valid vehicle license plate registration, in addition to flagging violators parking in charging slot for non-compliant reasons.
The project included the following Designs we created:
▪ Modified Smart Beacon design to accommodate
▪ RS4-85 based modbus connectivity (EV Charger Station)
▪ RS2-32 based connectivity to Park Watch monitor
▪ Design Park Watch Monitor Hardware
▪ Raspberry PI 4 with Corral AI accelerator
▪ WLAN and Ethernet based connectivity for IP Cameras
▪ Designed Firmware for systems
▪ Extensions for Payment and Reservation within Smart Beacon Framework
